Megan Burtt is a Colorado-based singer-songwriter with a rare gift for honesty — the kind that makes you feel seen rather than uncomfortable. Her songs blend confessional lyricism with an instinctive sense of groove, wrapping weighty truths in melodies that stick. A multiple award-winner at Kerrville NewFolk, Rocky Mountain Folk Festival, and the Westword Music Awards, she's toured alongside Gregory Alan Isakov, Brett Dennen, Lissie, and Leanne Rimes, and once collaborated with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra as a featured artist.

Her latest album, Witness, is her most fully realized work yet — self-produced, deeply personal, and called "surely one of the best albums of 2024" by Guitar Girl Magazine. Wrestling with generational trauma, lost relationships, and the weight of ambition, Burtt has a way of making even the heaviest subjects feel buoyant, carried by groove on the bottom end and an instinct for melody that runs in the family — her grandfather was a big band drummer in the Kansas City jazz scene.

The album came after years of delays, false starts, and a deliberate decision to stop dancing around what she really wanted to say. "It's become a sensibility that I know how to rest in," she says. "I'm not ignorant to the shitstorm you have to endure to get there. I am a little jaded, but I am really hopeful too."
